Heather Florio, Chief Executive Officer
Heather is the second-generation owner of Desert Harvest and has been an integral part of its operations since 1993. After attending the University of Denver to study Leadership and Organizational Management, Heather took on various roles in the entertainment industry, managing venues and coordinating private events for musicians worldwide.
In 2012, with the retirement of her parents, Heather took over as CEO of Desert Harvest, growing the company by over 1000% and bringing her management and operations skills and her passion for helping, advocating, and educating with her vast knowledge of women’s health issues. Heather was named one of the top 50 Women in Wellness by Authority Magazine in 2021 and was featured in Forbes magazine in 2022 as a top woman in business. When not at the helm of Desert Harvest, Heather enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and three dogs.

Alle Weil, Marketing Director
Alle is a Holistic Health Practitioner and Nutritionist with a seasoned background in Creative Development. She has worked exclusively in the wellness industry in Marketing, Editorial, Product, and Creative development. Her journey with many of the same debilitating symptoms that our customers experience gives her a unique perspective and passion to support the Desert Harvest mission. She says, “Working for Desert Harvest has allowed me to see my own journey with health, for the first time, as a superpower. This has strengthened my guidance and advocacy for an underrepresented group within the already under-researched, broader Women’s Health.”
When she’s not working, Alle enjoys spending as much time as she can in nature, hiking and gardening, with her partner and fur baby.

Amy Coffey, Creative Director
Amy, hailing from Columbus, Ohio, has been a creative force for 13 years since earning her BA in Art from Otterbein University in Westerville, Ohio. Alongside her online MasterClass with acclaimed photographer Annie Leibovitz in 2020, Amy wears multiple hats as an entrepreneur, photographer, artist, and graphic designer, complementing her creative endeavors at Desert Harvest.
She is deeply committed to Desert Harvest’s mission of advancing research, providing resources, and raising awareness in women’s health. Beyond her professional pursuits, Amy indulges in thrifting, furniture repurposing, and cherishing moments with her family. A devoted wife, mother, and all-around animal lover, she brings her passion for creativity and advocacy into every aspect of her life.

Anthony Florio, Office Manager
Our local office practical joker, Anthony is committed to bringing laughter to the office, his friends, and our customers. Third Generation DH, Anthony has been helping with the family business since he was a small child. He now helps manage the office. When not at work Anthony enjoys traveling, sushi, fitness, skiing, and spending time with his wife Shelby and his family.

Shelby Florio, Sales Specialist
Born and raised in North Carolina, Shelby started working part-time at Desert Harvest in 2016 while in high school. After attending college, she came back to Desert Harvest full-time because she enjoyed working in a place where she felt she was helping people. Eventually, Shelby and Anthony started dating so when the Florio’s decided to move DH to Maine, it was a no-brainer for her to make the transition.
While it was a huge move, she fell in love with the state of Maine and the scenery there. Her favorite thing about her job position is knowing that she is spreading the word about a great company with amazing products that were all created to help a severely underserved part of the community. Shelby spends her free time with Anthony, her husband, and their two pups, Xander and Athena.

Kaitlyne Harrison, Customer Service Specialist
Kaitlyne Harrison is a Customer Service Specialist at Desert Harvest. She has lived on an island in beautiful coastal Maine for most of her life, working various jobs in the customer service industry until she found her way to the Desert Harvest team through a mutual connection.
She loves meeting new people, sharing experiences, and helping everyone in any way she can! If Kaitlyne is not at the office you can find her collecting shells and sea glass at the beach, trying new recipes in the kitchen (especially baked goods!), hiking with her two dogs, curled up with a good book, or chasing sunsets with her camera.

Dan Florio, Shipping Specialist
Dan is the newest Florio family member to call Desert Harvest his home away from home. A life-long resident of Vermont and master of shipping, Dan moved to ME in 2021 to put his skills to use. He manages all of the orders to get our customers the products they need to help improve their quality of life and takes this responsibility very seriously, packing each order with the care and attention he would want someone to give his own.
Outside the office, you can find him at car shows as he has a large passion for anything with wheels, working on his YouTube channel, or hanging out with his daughter.

Mackenzie Myers, Customer Service Specialist
Say hello to Mackenzie, one of the newest members of the Desert Harvest crew. Hailing from Ellsworth, Maine, she started as a bartender until a bun in the oven changed her course. How did she end up with the gang? Her parents had the intel and connected her with the Florios when they moved DH to town.
When Mackenzie’s not busy crushing it at work, she’s wrangling her toddler, Weston, along with her furry posse Bandit, Brandi, and Willow. They’re always looking for outdoor fun to let out all that crazy kiddo energy!

Ton Bolier, Legal
Ton Bolier leads our Legal ‘department’ with a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of regulatory landscapes. Sander Bolier, Finance
Sander Bolier, heading our Finance ‘department’, brings a strategic vision to financial management and planning. His acumen in financial analysis and budgeting ensures the company’s financial health and supports sustainable growth. Sander’s leadership is key to our financial strategy, optimizing resources and maximizing profitability.
Martin van Dam, Logistics
Martin van Dam oversees our Logistics, ensuring the efficient and timely distribution of our products.
